As a former program director at People for the American Way and the former Director of Grantmaking at the Benton Foundation in Washington, DC, Anne has extensive experience developing grantmaking, advocacy and communications strategies that help influence national policy. Consulting for the past ten years, Anne has worked with corporate, private and family foundations in many capacities, such as, designing and launching national grantmaking programs, developing communications strategies for specific projects, and providing interim staffing support.
Anne currently works as a Principal at Social Market Strategies, where she continues to help foundations with strategic planning, program development, and interim staffing when needed. She has developed a reputation as a strategic thinker who helps identify the most effective ways for foundations to leverage their investments.
